Marissa discovered pole dancing in 2017, and fell in love immediately with both the sport and the incredible community at APF.
She started competing in late 2017, and teaching in 2018, and hasn't looked back since! Her favourite thing about pole is that it can be taken in so many different directions, and that every single person's style of pole is unique to them. She has always loved everything bendy and flexy, as prior to starting pole, she competed in rhythmic gymnastics at a national level.
In addition, throughout her pole journey, Marissa has developed a love of exotic hardstyle choreography. She hopes to inspire her students to explore and find their own style, in the same way her instructors inspired her!
