Kiss It Rules and Regulations

Competitor

  1. A competitor may enter one (1) video entry only.

  2. All competitors must always comply with the competition rules and regulations. At any time the competitor can get clarification by emailing kissit@addictivepolefitness.com

  3. The competitor must be over the age of 18 years old and a current student of an Addictive Pole Fitness studio.

  4. Competitors must be available to perform on Saturday the 25th May 2024. If at anytime the competitor’s availability changes, they must contact kissit@addictivepolefitness.com as soon as practical.

  5. Competitors must arrive at the venue on time on the day of the competition for rehearsals.

  6. Competitors must ensure they warm up and stretch properly prior to performing.

  7. Competitors must not consume alcohol or any other substance prior to performing.

  8. Applications can only be submitted by the competitor. 

Venue:

  1. The competition will be held at Addictive Pole Fitness- Springfield, located at Unit 9, 24 Technology Drive, Augustine Heights.

  2. The poles used will be 2x 38mm Brass Poles.

  3. The spinning pole will be stage left and static pole stage right for all divisions (excluding performance division). Performance division can select a combination of static or spinning.

  4. Competition poles are approximately 3.2 metres apart.

  5. The poles are approximately 4 metres high and fixed.

  6. The competitors waive to the fullest extent permitted by law all legal rights of action against and fully releases the Addictive Pole Fitness and Addictive Pole Fitness Related Parties and Addictive Pole Fitness and Related Parties for the loss, damages, or injury howsoever arising out of or in relation to the participation by the competitors in the activities conducted or organised by Addictive Pole Fitness and Related Parties including without limitation, liability for any negligent or tortious act or omission, breach of duty, breach of contract or breach of statutory duty on the part of the Organisers or Related Parties

Performance:

  1. Performances must be between 2.5 and 3.5 minutes long.

  2. All props must be approved by the Organiser. Human props are permitted, as long as they do not make physical contact with the pole, and sign a liability waiver. Competitors should note that human props should add to the story of their performance, and not detract from it, and this will be considered in the judging. Maximum of two (2) human props. Human props will be required to purchase a ticket to the event.

  3. Any type of footwear is allowed, including boots and bare feet.

  4. Gloves are allowed

  5. Dry Hands, Enviro Grip, Dancing Dust, Girlie Grip, Tite Grip, Shaving Cream, Sticky Molly and Dew Point are approved grip products. Any other product must be approved 2 weeks prior to the competition. The grip can only be applied to the competitor. No grip will be applied directly to the poles.

  6. Please refer to Judging Criteria for more specific details on performance.

  7. The competitors acknowledge and accept that Addictive Pole Fitness and its owners and staff (the Organisers) their directors, instructors, employees, agents, landlords, leases or franchisees (“Related Parties”) and Addictive Pole Fitness venue and its owners and staff (Venue), their directors, instructors, employees, agents, landlords, leases or franchisees (“Venue Related Parties”) are not responsible for injury or damage resulting from participation in the competition, including the competitors’ arrival and departure from the competition.

  8. The competitors acknowledge that pole dance is a dangerous activity and as such the competitors voluntarily accept the risks associated in participating in the competition.

  9. Performances with sensitive content must be approved by Addictive Pole Fitness. If the performance is approved, a trigger warning may be announced prior to the performance, to provide the audience with the opportunity to decide if they would like to watch. These can include but are not limited to:

    1. Mental health

    2. Sexual assault

    3. Disability

    4. Abuse or torture

    5. Self-harming behaviour

    6. Eating disorders

    7. Suicide

    8. Hate speech or strong abusive language

    9. Violence, including domestic violence

    10. Murder or physical assault

    11. Depiction or discussion of discriminatory attitudes or actions, such as racism, sexism,
      homophobia, prejudice

    12. Drug, alcohol or substance abuse

  10. Performances that display racism, homophobia, whorephobia or that are likely to incite hatred towards a minority, will not be tolerated.

  11. Removing costume parts is permitted as long as the minimum clothing requirement is maintained. A G-string, pasties and partial nudity are the minimum requirements.

  12. Costumes must provide good coverage of all private areas.

Photography and Film

  1. Competitors are aware that they may be photographed or videoed during their performance.

  2. Photos may be purchased after the competition from Ninie Vo Photography for $30 ea or $85 for the competitor's entire gallery.

  3. The competitor acknowledges that photos or videos may be published by Addictive Pole Fitness or their related parties.

  4. Competitors acknowledge that their performance may be live-streamed and will not hold Addictive Pole Fitness responsible for who is able to view.

  5. All photography and video remain the property of Addictive Pole Fitness. 

  6. The competitor releases all rights or claims over any photos or videos and acknowledges that such material is the property of and can be used by Addictive Pole Fitness for promotional or other uses, without compensation to the competitor.

  7. Competitors may film their own performances and are free to use them as they see fit.

  8. By submitting an entry form into the Competition you understand and agree to all Terms & Conditions stated above

Music

  1. Music must be supplied in full as one piece at least 2 weeks prior to the competition.

  2. The same song may not be used more than once within the competition. Preference will be given to the first person who submitted their song choice.

Judging

  1. The judges’ decision is final

  2. Competitors must not talk to the judges throughout the competition.

  3. Scores and feedback will be provided by request after the competition.

  4. A Winner will be announced for each Division (except the performance division).

Other

  1. The organiser reserves the right to change the rules at any time
